A Personal Story of Grieving - Spreading the Ashes of a Deceased Loved One is an additional one Step in Grief

This is a personal story about two of my loved ones who were cremated. I share this as an example of the infinite possibilities of deciding to issue or keep the ashes. I hope it will help someone to see how every situation is different. The best decision is the one that works for you and your loved ones.

When my son, Cooper, died at the age of 19 months, my husband and I bought an urn and kept the ashes with us. The concept of releasing my wee boy was too much for me. I had every intention of holding him with me for the rest of my life.

California Sky Diving

My husband died 12 years later. At the one-year anniversary of my husband's death, I was ready to issue some of the ashes of both my husband and my son. I chose a corner on my property next to the street where a peace pole with 12 languages with the words, "May Peace Prevail on Earth." The garden in that area had roses all in full bloom. The names were passionate kisses, love's promise, peace, glowing peace, our lady of Guadalupe, and the Mary rose. After I had settled their ashes in the hole, my brother shouted and pointed towards the east. There was a hawk. It flew level towards us, circled over and then turned to fly to the north. Amazing! My husband was a falconer and my son was named for a coopers hawk.

It was two years before I was ready to issue the rest of the ashes. All I can tell you is I was ready. Nothing was forced. I think it was a part of releasing our life in Baltimore because two months after releasing the ashes I was ready to sell my house. A year later I moved to California to begin a new exploration.

The final issue was with a community of skydivers. My husband was also a skydiver from an earlier part of his life. A gathering was organized at a drop zone, a place for skydiving, on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. On the day of the release, I gathered things to give to the skydivers as a gift; Hurley's parachute and jumpsuit, pictures of habitancy skydiving, his log books, pictures of falconers.

My youngest daughter and I drove two hours to the drop zone. The drive was a trip down memory lane for me. I concept about how much Hurley loved the Eastern Shore and living on a farm where he raised dogs, planted trees, raised hawks and so much more. This was also the route we took for approximately ten years of house summer vacations at the beach and for the best milkshakes in the world at Holly's Diner.

When we arrived, the weather had changed. The climatic characteristic dropped to 55 degrees, overcast, and windy. There was a examine as to whether or not this would even happen. I had asked for prayers from habitancy around the world on my status line on Facebook.

As Harry, my husband's best friend, was talking with separate habitancy about the weather, I trusted that all things would happen at the perfect time. I released the need to operate this and opened to the possibility. The decision came back as yes. Because of the weather, they did something called a "hop and pop." Instead of free falling, they jumped and pull the chutes right away. Nineteen men and women of all ages went up in the plane and jumped. It was a quick dive, but I did see the stream of ashes, a compound of Hurley and Cooper. My guys, both flying free together.

At that moment, the sun popped straight through the clouds and you could feel the warmth of the rays. I took a picture of some of the skydivers with the sun in the background. It only stayed like that for a few minutes and then went behind the clouds. I felt gratitude for I knew it was a sign from them.

The suggestions I would offer:

1. Release the ashes when it feels right to you
2. Create a ceremony that is meaningful to you
3. Feel all of the feelings
4. Connect with your loved ones spirit
5. Look for the messages that connect you forever

When we scheduled this, I didn't think about the significance of the day. It was November 1, All Saints Day or the Day of the Dead. This is the day when habitancy traditionally remember their loved ones in Spirit and the "veils" are thinner in the middle of the living and the dead. And for us, they were.

Risk supervision For Small Businesses

Legal risk supervision has all the time been prominent for individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations. What has changed is this. In the current economic climate, when having to pay out of pocket for an uncovered claim, legal defense costs or a community or judgment may mean the difference between survival or failure, what has all the time been prominent has now become principal and imperative. But it's not all about survival. Effectively managing risk now will best position any enterprise owner or enterprise club for greater success when the economy turns around.

While there has been a lot of news chatter on the internet and in enterprise and assurance publications about risk supervision since the 2008 stock market meltdown, it has for the most part been without the benefit of a definition of the term. Most of the buzz has been about enterprise risk supervision and assurance underwriting in the context of the assurance and banking/financial industries. Given the fact that economic risk taking is the topic du jour, this may be thoughprovoking stuff, but not what those managing smaller organizations' risks deal with from day to day.

California Sky Diving

What we are de facto interested in is trying to safe personel entrepreneurs, small businesses, non-profit organizations and their members, from bad things that could happen. Or, at least, from the consequences (generally financial) of those bad things. We can get that terminated without a lot of Wall road mumbo jumbo, right? I mean, look where that sort of thing has taken us.

That said, any sufficient risk supervision program should start from scholastic risk supervision ideas boiled down to its basics, because they make a lot of sense and furnish an excellent roadmap. A good "academic" definition of legal risk is as follows:

Legal risk is risk from uncertainty due to legal actions or uncertainty in the applicability or interpretation of contracts, laws or regulations.

Depending on your type of enterprise or organization, you face confident definite legal risks, but in a normal "big picture" sense, businesses and organizations all face the same two normal categories of legal risks:

1. Contractual risks. (Are your contracts legally binding and enforceable? How do they allocate legal responsibilities? Specifically, what responsibilities do you have? What responsibilities do your buyer or clients have? If your customers or clients do not fulfill their responsibilities, what are your options?)

2. Operational risks (defined by the Basel Committee, an international committee that has played a prominent role in standardizing bank regulations over jurisdictions, as "the risk of loss resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, population and systems, or from external events").

So, as long as you don't have any relationships with any other parties in which you have any contractual responsibilities, all of your internal processes and systems are flawless, and neither you nor your employees, subcontractors or vendors ever make a mistake, you don't have to ever worry about risk management. (That's said tongue in cheek, of course.)

In its purest form, risk supervision is simply the process of:

1. Identifying risks.

2. Identifying the potential impact of those risks.

3. Deciding how to eliminate or minimize the potential impact of those risks.

So, when I am helping a client administrate legal risks, I have two normal goals in mind. They are (a) to avoid legal liability so that my client isn't taking any risks he/she/it does not need to (through risk shifting provisions in a contract, for example) and (b) to make sure that my client can survive the potential detrimental impact of those legal liability risks which cannot be avoided (through adequate assurance coverage, for example).

Large corporations have their own in-house risk supervision staff and in-house attorneys to deal with the minutia. personel entrepreneurs, small businesses and society organizations don't have any of that support. Which may leave you feeling like "tag, you're it".

Sometimes handling your own risk supervision is a straightforward task. You're going sky diving, which involves the risk of hurtling to the ground from a great height, stunning it and becoming a human pancake, so you use a parachute, development sure that it has been folded and packed correctly, that you are wearing it securely, and that you have a backup chute. There, that risk is managed pretty easily. But that's only because (a) there's no uncertainty about the nature of the risk or its potential magnitude and (b) there is de facto only one way to minimize it. (To tell you the truth, if it were me this risk would be avoided altogether, since I would simply not jump - or best yet, I would simply not get in the plane - but hey, that's just me, and anyway, that would have been a lousy example for this article.)

Most enterprise activities involve more uncertainty about the legal risks involved, which in turn means that Deciding how to eliminate or minimize the potential impact of those uncertain risks will necessarily involve a composition of interlocking legal mechanisms, so require the aid of a enterprise attorney. These mechanisms, together with enterprise entity creation, contractual risk funds (such as hold harmless, indemnity and/or warranty provisions) and implementation of sufficient enterprise systems to administrate operational risks such as potential employer liabilities, work together to furnish the maximum available protection for you individually, and for your enterprise or organization. And like a puzzle, when it all fits together right, it's a pretty picture, and it makes sense.

If it doesn't all fit, if it doesn't make sense, if you are left with a feeling of vulnerability to the shifting sands of the legal liability risks you face, it is time for you to consult an experienced enterprise attorney to get the mechanisms in place, or implement the systems you need, to furnish that protection so that you can keep your eye on the time to come without having to worry too much about the past.

Short Stories for High School Students

So we meet again...

It was a sunny day when I was waiting for my wife to come at the Mall, so that we could buy clothes for our child. She was 1 hour late. I made a call and found that she was with her mother and they were waiting for the car mechanic to put the new tyre and change the punctured one.

California Sky Diving

It was too late. I must go back to my office. My clients must be waiting for me. Just when I opinion to leave that place, I struck a lady. I was going to say sorry, when my senses stopped cooperating me. It was Samantha. My mouth was opened and I was steering like I never say a girl before. She looked at me and said its okay, its not new between us.

So we meet again. She asked me about my wife, children and our old friends. I said they were all okay. Not allowing to let me talk, she again asked about me health. She said that you are looking quite weak. I said no! It's just work pressure.

It was my turn to fulfill the formalities, so I asked her about her health, house and even if she good married yet or not. She said that she is not yet married. When I asked why, she answered that there was some question with my fiancée a 3 years back. And after lots of house pressure I am again going exchange rings with a new man. I asked her what was the guess that her relation broke 3 years earlier. She said nothing just then I was not able to decide whom I love and whom I don't.

This strange rejoinder made me think thought about on the issue, but then I saw a guy arrival near her. She introduced that guy as her fiancée. We just shaked hands and moved on. I looked back and she was waving her hand towards me. I did the same.

I remembered that when I got engaged she was not there. And she did not came to my marriage. At that time she went to U.S. For added studies. Well it was a nice day, as I met my oldest and sweetest and most respectable friend. I was feeling good. My anger towards my wife was over. So I decided to sit the bistro and wait for my wife and child and of course my mother in law.

At the bistro I met Sandy. He said he is the owner of the bistro and now told that I am his special guest. The coffee was free for me I thought. We asked about what we were doing these days. He said that he got married last year. And his wife is pregnant. I asked him about Samantha. Does he know whatever about her. He said that the poor girl broke her marriage 3 years earlier and after so much interval she is again going to be engaged. I said you know all about her and how does that happens. He said she was going to be married to my elder brother. I immediately asked her then you must be knowing the guess what made her engagement broke. She is so beautiful, sweet and lovable man then how come such a nice lady has to face such a problem.

He looked at me and moved his head down. I again asked why her engagement was broken and why was she saying that I could not decide at that time whom I love and whom I don't?

He answered it was due to you. I was so astonished. How is it inherent I asked. He said that on the day of engagement she started crying and remembered she called you also. I said yes, it might be due to new relationships.

Sandy moved his head. I said tell me the truth. He said that literally she stopped the engagement because she was missing you at the party. She told me that she feels alone without me. It was the same day when you were getting engaged. She also made you call to tell you the she loves you. But you were so happy with your engagement that you could not understand, what she was trying to say on the phone.

I said it is impossible. I also loved her. But she never said whatever to me. I opinion if I said whatever to her than I might loose a good friend too. If she only had said once I would leave all for her love. I looked up and complaint god what is this. Anyway I must move now. I said bye paid the bill and went out of the bistro with heavy heart.

There I saw Samantha leaving the place with her fiancée. She looked at me from the car. They both waved bye to me, and I did the same. The car went closer from me. And so did Samantha. She was steering in my eyes and her eyes were glowing. I felt like she still loves me. And may be I too...

Usa Road Trips - The City Of Reno

The City of Reno, Nevada is favorably placed off of Interstate 80 and California 395. California 395 is very favorite in itself and is a great road trip just exploring this Highway.

Driving in from California on 80 from the Sacramento area will take you close to Lake Tahoe and some beautiful landscapes over the Sierra Nevada's. If you are traveling in the late fall, winter or early spring you want to keep an eye on the weather and perhaps carry chains as it snows often.

California Sky Diving

Along route 395 from South To North is another spectacular drive on your way to the City of Reno. 395 runs along the base of the Sierra Nevada mountain range which essentially divides California in half. It is surrounded by so many national forests I can't even begin to list them here. Lakes abound, but the most unusual is Mono Lake with it's spectacular formations and tufts. This is a must see!

Ok, so back to the City of Reno. As you may know the City of Reno is known as the "biggest microscopic city in the world" and is the county seat of Washoe County. The city is best known for it's casinos and is the city where Harrah's got it's start.

The city of Reno has always been a gambling town and it's #1 attraction is it's casinos. But what to do if you do not gamble?

There are plenty opportunities for the adventurous in and around the City of Reno. There is mountain biking, camping and backpacking, rock climbing, plenty of jeep tours and great fishing. To find the best fishing spots check out the Nevada agency Of Wildlife web site

For the outdoor enthusiast there is plenty of hiking. You can find a list of local hikes and around areas on many of the trail sites offered on the Internet.

For house fun, there are many things to do. Some of the most favorite are the Wild Island house adventure park which consists of a water park, microscopic golf and bowling, check them out at wild island.com. another favorite park the ultimate Rush Thrill Park. This parks main attraction is the "Ultimate Rush". This is a sky diving attraction where you free fall from an 185 foot tower, attached to a bungee cord of course. This park also includes microscopic golf, go carts, bumper cars and more. The Animal Ark Wildlife Sanctuary which is comprised of 38 acres is just northwest of the City of Reno. Animals can be seen through viewing windows in their natural habitat. In Northern Reno you will find the Sierra Safari Zoo with a wide collection of animals to view.

If you love to skate don't forget to visit Roller Kingdom. Right in the town of the city Reno, it offers awesome music to skate to, cordial Dj's and a astounding lighting system If you are traveling with children don't miss a visit to Circus Circus. Much like it's Las Vegas counterpart is offers fee acts on the mezzanine beginning about 11:00 Am. If you love to play golf you are going to love the City of Reno even more. I don't know how true this is but they say because of the altitude the balls will fly 10% further. There are also so many courses to select from they can't all be listed here, but within 90 minutes of the City of Reno there are over 50 golf courses. The city of Reno is a place for fun, be it indoors or outdoors there is something to do for everyone.

The nightlife, dining and casinos are superb. The city of Reno has changed quite a bit over the years. So if you have not been there in a while check out this great Usa Road Trip.

Have Skydiving Accidents come to be More Common?

Each year, the United States Parachute Association, the assosication that works with the Federal Aviation supervision to regulate skydiving, holds one of the largest skydiving events in the world, the Uspa National Skydiving Championships. Spanning two weeks and surface some skydiving disciplines, the competition has been held in places throughout the country, together with Perris Valley Skydiving in Southern California, the location of three fatalities and one serious personal injury in new months, agreeing to a local lawyer. As skydiving has evolved from a wartime escape mechanism to an ultimate sport, have accidents become more common?

While parachutes have been in use for hundreds of years, one of their earliest modern roles was as a rescue device for airmen in World War I and World War Ii. While World War I, consideration balloon pilots used them to escape; throughout World War Ii, pilots and crewmembers would rely on them for the same purpose when their planes were shot down. In the postwar years, citizen took up parachuting for sport, and schools and centers opened in the 1950s, agreeing to the U.S. Parachute Association.

California Sky Diving

However, as the popularity of skydiving waned over the years, some in the sport sought ways to make it more exciting. Enter swooping, a disagreement of skydiving in which divers jump from as low as 5,000 feet above the ground-half the length of most sky dives-and deploy their parachutes immediately. Moreover, divers use smaller, more agile parachutes. The goal is to gain more speed while still controlling one's movements adequate to execute tricks low adequate to the ground that spectators can see them. Many of the "disciplines" of skydiving exhibited at the Uspa National Skydiving Championships combine elements of swooping.

Were the skydivers who died and suffered serious personal injury at Perris Valley Skydiving in Southern California swooping or curious in some disagreement of it? While news reports did not indicate the altitude at which they were released or the type of parachute they were using, they did indicate that in both cases two divers collided midair, agreeing to a local lawyer. Last March, two divers died after colliding in the air, and then other two divers collided when their parachutes became entangled last April, killing one and injuring the other.

Despite the expanding popularity of the hazardous sport of swooping, the U.S. Parachute relationship claims that the security of skydiving continues to improve. In 2010, the Uspa recorded 21 fatal skydiving accidents, a decrease from the 1970s when the sport averaged 42.5 fatalities a year. While the Uspa attributes most accidents to human error and asserts that the risk of an emergency can be minimized with allowable preparation and good judgment, the two new fatal and injury accidents in Perris have many throughout Southern California questioning the security of the sport.

What Does Indoor Skydiving Involve?

Indoor skydiving is a phenomena that was born in the Usa, with the earliest experiments being carried out by the Us military in 1964. The very first SkyVenture wind tunnel opened in Orlando, Florida, in 1998, and the first Uk version of the wind tunnel opened in Milton Keynes, not far from the capital, London.

The idea behind the tunnel fabricate was to simulate the feeling that one experiences in skydiving, whilst addition the time that such an caress would last. In terms of safety, the wind tunnel is determined safer than sky-diving; although sky diving itself is of policy very safe. Indoor skydiving aims to allow a person to do all the things a skydiver would do in free fall - so this would consist of being able to control one's flight to a large degree.

California Sky Diving

The skills required to successfully faultless an indoor skydiving policy are fairly easy to pick up, which means the whole process can be significantly quicker than a primary sky diving course.

For many of those find that the expectation of a 'real' skydiving caress is too daunting, the wind tunnel offers a good alternative; allowing person to feel the adrenaline rush of a sky dive without having to go high up into the air. Vertigo is one of the main reasons why habitancy do not attempt skydiving; as a wind tunnel lifts you a short height off the floor there is unlikely to be any fear of vertigo.

Once you're inside such a wind tunnel, you'll need to first of all find a neutral flying position, this means you will be suspended in mid air. From this point your indoor skydiving trainer will be able to instruct you authentically how to learn other movements such as forward, backward, left and right.

If you are inspecting trying indoor skydiving yourself, or are inspecting giving it as a gift to person else, then you have the choice of venues in the Usa or the Uk. There are a range of times that you can fly for, although as a beginner you'll probably start off with a 2 slight ride. If you went through the discrete courses available you would progress to something like 10 minutes. The prices for the beginner sessions and the advanced sessions vary to a large extent.

These are some of the basic ideas and concepts behind indoor skydiving, should you wish to try it.

Latte Coffee

Latte coffee mugs is probably one of my more beloved coffee mugs. It holds the desired number of coffee in a considerably cool seeing mug. A lot of population tell me how particular i can be when it comes to sure things. I think this is one of them.

Latte mugs are precisely excellent for drinking Lattes believe it or not. A latte coffee is basically a strong shot of option espresso coffee, and to top it off they put frothed milk on the top. Some population prefer chocolate espresso filled in their latte cup, while other population enjoy hazelnut flavoring. A friend of mine who is a coffee fanatic drinks it straight from the cup, which of procedure is a latte coffee cup, without having any coffee flavoring.

California Sky Diving

I often say they should make a latte coffee mug in a to go type mug. A stainless steel to-go cup with the same buildings as our latte coffee mugs would be a good idea.

The word latte in Italian precisely means milk. Its kind of funny that if you are in Italy and order a latte in a Latte cafe mug, you will end up getting a warm glass of milk. There is a cafe restaurant in Berkeley California that basically says they were the inventors of the cafe latte. It is called the Cafe Mediterranean. No matter who invented latte drinks, I'm glad they did. What else would i put in my latte mug every morning. Nothing is good than latte cafe.

Getting Denied For condition insurance is Easy

Today shopping for individual private health guarnatee online is fairly simple. Naturally type the keywords "health insurance" on any major search engine such as Google, Yahoo, or Msn and you are virtually guaranteed to come over a multitude of websites with designer practice made plans. However, too often consumers who are Naturally weighing their options forget the bigger picture. It's called curative underwriting. curative underwriting is a process in which an insurer will value under what terms and provisions they will insure an applicant if at all. Many times shoppers spend months trying to find the perfect advantage plan for the best price only to find out the plan they applied for came back after they submitted the application with a much higher price than expected or worse, they were declined coverage altogether and now cant get individual health guarnatee because they passed up what their employer offered.

Getting stylish for individual health guarnatee coverage is not so easy.

California Sky Diving

If you had group guarnatee offered by your employer for most of the time you had coverage and this is the first time shopping for individual private health insurance, do your self a favor don't just shop to get a feel for the market, take the next step and apply. Applying for coverage is the only real way you will easily know what offer will be given to you and under what terms or price. Consult with a knowledgably licensed guarnatee agent who is familiar with the curative underwriting guidelines of the major curative guarnatee carriers offering the coverage you seek and begin to commence the application process. All guarnatee carriers on the individual market will want an application to be unblemished with the first month's excellent deposit for consideration. The presuppose why insurers request this deposit is to ensure the applicant is serious about applying since they will incur administrative cost to conclude if they will insure you or not, however some insurers will only withdraw funds if your stylish while others will take the first months excellent deposit and repayment you if you decline their offer or if you are declined coverage altogether. Basically the whole process is two fold while you are considering them they are considering you.

There are many reasons why an insurer will come back with a much higher price than expected in regards to the benefits you apply for or decline the application altogether. Here are just a few common examples.

Height and Weight: The physical health of a proposed insured is of basic importance in underwriting. One of the determinants of physical health is build. Build includes height, weight, and distribution of the weight. Perceive has shown that being overweight increases the likelihood of death or sickness at all ages so for an insurer to construe the cost they will raise your rate accordingly if accepted.

High Blood Pressure: Hypertension or High Blood Pressure is an intermittent or sustained elevation of diastolic or systolic blood pressure. Hypertension is a major cause of stroke, cardiac disease, and renal failure. Complications occur late in the disease and can assault any organ system. Cardiac complications consist of coronary artery disease, angina, myocardial infarction, heart failure, arrhythmias, and sudden death. Neurologic complications consist of cerebral infarctions and hypertensive encephalopathy. Hypertensive retinopathy can cause blindness or glaucoma. Reno vascular hypertension can lead to renal failure. Just because it is controlled does not mean an insurer will accept you, also any aggregate of High Blood Pressure, High Cholesterol, and Obesity roughly always consequent in a decline with most carriers or at least a very high premium. The presuppose for all of this is from the insures point of view at very best you will create curative expenses in the form of diagnostic test, assessments, treatment, medication or at worst heart attacks and kidney transplants costing lots of money.

Smoking: When an individual uses tobacco in any form, whether it involves chewing, dipping, or smoking cigarettes, cigars, and a pipe, is an prominent risk factor by itself. In the past smoking or other tobacco use was carefully in underwriting, but only rarely as a factor of importance by itself. For example, if a someone had a respiratory problem and smoked, the underwriting decision might be less favorable than for an otherwise similarly situated non smoker. Smoking unaccompanied by any other negative factor however, was not a cause for a less favorable rating and continues to be ignored as a factor in many markets worldwide. Insurers now understand that smoking and any other tobacco use, even in the absence of any other negative factor, causes expected mortality and morbidity to be worse than midpoint and the degree of disagreement is of such importance as to warrant detach classification. So prominent is this factor that the midpoint female smoker can be expected to pay roughly double the rate of the same non smoking male of the same age.

Occupation: Occupational hazards are not as prominent today as they were in the past, although in determined cases they can be. They may increase the risk in at least three dissimilar ways. First, the work may present an environmental hazard, such as exposure to violence, irregular living, or a temptation to experiment with drugs or overindulge in alcohol. Second, the physical conditions surrounding an work can have a bearing upon health and longevity, as in the case of persons who work in close, dusty, or poorly ventilated quarters or are exposed to chemical toxins. Ultimately there is the risk from accident, such as is faced by expert automobile racers, crop dusters, and scuba divers. An individual who has recently changed from a hazardous work to a safer form of employment must be underwriting carefully, as he or she may still withhold ill effects from the earlier job or because the turn may have been prompted by a health factor. It is common to see increased excellent rates for bartenders, telemarketers, tattoo artist, truck drivers, actors, singers, artist, and servers to name a few if they get standard at all.

Alcohol and Drugs: data is normally sought regarding the proposed insured's use of habit forming drugs and intoxicating beverages. Inordinate alcohol use is connected with higher than standard mortality and morbidity meaning increased likelihood of death or sickness. If the individual applying for coverage uses alcoholic beverages in large amounts, he or she may be declined or offered substandard guarnatee while having to pay more to receive benefits, depending on the degree of usage. Use of alcohol in moderation is carefully normal. Use of drugs not prescribed by a doctor or drug abuse may call for a declination depending on the type of drug. A history of misuse or unsupervised use may want an extra rate increase depending upon the distance of time since the drug or drugs were used, the nature of the rehabilitation given, and whether there has been participation in a lasting withhold agenda such as Alcoholics Anonymous

Hazardous Sports and Avocations: Persons with a higher standard of living and searching for new ways to spend their free time time often resort to hobbies and avocations. Such activities as scuba diving, mountain climbing, competing racing, hand gliding, and sky diving clearly can involve a vital further hazard to be carefully in the underwriting process. If a hazard causes increased expected mortality and the individual is insurable on some basis, he or she normally is expensed a flat extra excellent commensurate with the risk. A rider excluding death or hospital expenditures resulting from participation in the hazardous action may be employed occasionally. Also, riders excluding coverage for accidental injuries caused by football, basketball, or baseball players are not uncommon.

Anything: For those that think you are perfectly healthy, you are in for a big surprise. Even if you were never officially diagnosed with an uninsurable curative health and by the way the list is endless, if you have not had coverage for some period of time a paramedical test will have to be performed and insurers will be evaluating the test results very closely. Special attention will be given to the liver enzymes such as bilirubin, determined pressures in the kidneys such as the glomerular filtration rate which measures the rate of clearance of waste toxins you are capable of removing from your body and determined proteins in the body such as albumin. There easily is not enough room within the scope of this writing to cover all things but it is prominent that you understand the reasons an insurer will decline your application or make you pay much more than expected is unlimited.

As a final note: The best advice I could give to consumers considering individual health guarnatee coverage is to avoid trying to do it yourself and instead seek the services of a licensed expert guarnatee agent who is not a captive agent working primarily with one carrier but is appointed with many carriers so he or she can place you with the carrier who will issue the coverage you seek with the price you can afford. Just remember you easily don't know what you get until you apply. If you are standard and you don't like the offer the insurer offered you, you can Naturally refuse and get refunded your fist month's excellent as long as you are within your free look period as mandated by applicable state and federal law.

For those of you still not ready to apply but need more questions answered please feel free to login to our website at http://www.health-insurance-buyer.com and register your data and one of our consultants will be happy to sustain you even if you are not yet ready to apply. At the very least by speaking with one of our consultants you will have a more accurate photo of what will happen whenever you are ready to commence the health guarnatee application process with the guarnatee carrier you select.

Namibia – A Bountiful Harvest Awaits the Adventure traveler

Namibia is a largely arid country of stark rough-hewn beauty. The most vivid images are those of a haunting technicolor landscape of swirling orange dunes, shimmering mirages and treacherous dust devils. The apparent desolation is deceptive and plant and animal life and even man has adapted to this environment. The country is designed approximately specially with the active and adventure seeker in mind. Always in vogue deserts, thorn bush savanna, desolate wind ravaged coastlines, majestic canyons, and sun-baked saltpans are the bounty that awaits the traveler.

Namibia’s top draw is the Etosha National Park, rated as one of Africa’s finest game sanctuaries. The birding palpate in the country is truly superior. On a Namibia safari, the range of activities you can indulge in the unsurpassable physical environment is truly impressive. Ballooning over the desert, skydiving over land and sea, paragliding, whitewater rafting and sand skiing along coastal dunes are good activities for starters. More fun games to pick from comprise abseiling – that most spectacular of rock sports, coastal and fresh water angling, desert camel riding, scuba diving, 4x4 desert runs, hiking and mountaineering.

California Sky Diving

Namibia has four inevitable geographical regions. In the north is Etosha Pan, a great area for wildlife and heart of Etosha National Park. The slender Caprivi Strip is nested in the middle of Zambia and Botswana and is a wet area of woodland blessed with a few rivers. Along the coast is the Namib Desert, which at the age of 80 million years old, is said to be the world’s oldest desert. At the coast, the icy cold Atlantic meets the blazing African desert, resulting in dense fogs. The well-watered central plateau runs north to south, and carries rugged mountains, magnificent canyons, rocky outcrops and immense plains.

Namibia, one and half times the size of France, is very sparsely inhabited and carries only 1.8 million souls. The habitancy are as unique as the land they live on. The most enchanting are the San, otherwise known as Bushmen. These most hardy of habitancy have a very industrialized knowledge of their environment. It is a fine thing how well they are adapted to their difficult habitat. Just pause and think that these are the only habitancy in the world who live with no permanent way to water. In the Kalahari Desert, one of their domiciles, face water is not to be found. Tubers, melons, and other water bearing plants as well as private sip wells furnish their water requirements.

In Namibia today, Bushmen whole about 50,000. Historians estimate that they have lived, mostly as hunters and gatherers, for at least 25,000 years in these parts of the world. Bushmen speak in a peculiar click language and are very gifted in the arts of storytelling, mimicry, and dance. Namibia’s other people, who are indigenous to the continent, are mostly of Bantu origin. They are notion to have arrived from western Africa from about 2,400 years ago. The African groups comprise the Owambo, Kavango, Caprivians, Herero, Himba, Damara, Nama and Tswana.

The Africans aside, other groups comprise about 15% of the habitancy and have played an important role in the emergence of the modern nation. White Namibians whole to about 120,00 and are in general of German and Afrikaner heritage. Germans arrived in necessary numbers after 1884 when Bismarck declared the country a German Protectorate. Afrikaners, white farmers of Dutch origin, moved north from their Cape settlements, especially after the Dutch Cape Colony was ceded to the British in 1806. This strongly independent people, whose ancestors had lived in the Cape from 1652 resented British control.

Two other inevitable groups perfect the spectrum of Namibia’s habitancy - Basters and Coloureds. Coloured in Namibia and southern Africa refers to habitancy of mixed racial heritage, black- white for example. They have a isolate identity and culture. This makes sense considering that Namibia was run by South Africa after the First World War. Even in pre-Apartheid South Africa, racial classification was a fine art. The Afrikaans-speaking Basters, descended from Hottentot women and Dutch settlers of the Cape. Alienated from both white and black communities, they trekked northwards, ultimately founding their own town Rehoboth, in 1871. Baster is de facto derived from “bastard”, but it is not derogatory, and the Basters are de facto proud of it.

Namibia’s barren and unwelcoming coastlines served as a natural prophylactic to the ambitions of European explorers. That was until 1884 when the German merchant Adolf Luderitz established a permanent settlement in the middle of the Namib Desert and the Atlantic coast that afterwards took his name. Bismarck subsequently declared the territory covered by Namibia a German colony and named it Südwestafrika or South West Africa. As German settlers moved into the interior, friction was inevitable with the inheritors of the land.

The German occupation was a particularly unhappy palpate for the Herero. The Herero resented the German’s harsh and racist rule and the consequent of the encroachment on their lands on their livelihood and way of life. On the first day of the year 1904, the Herero led by Chief Samuel Maharero, rose suddenly and unexpectedly in arms against their colonial overlords. The Nama joined the insurrection and the authorities did not acquire operate even after six months of trying. Over 100 German settlers and soldiers died in the uprising. Historians now consider events that followed to constitute the first genocide of the twentieth century.

Lieutenant general Lothar von Trotha was furnished with a contingent of 14,000 soldiers and tasked to put down the rebellion. The governor general of the territory was then Rudolph Goering -the father of Herman Goering, Hitler's right hand man. Lothar von Trotha was a generation ahead of his time and his kind of mental was to come to be government procedure under the Third Reich. He argued that the Herero must be destroyed as a habitancy and he did not wince at the murder of women or children. At the end of it all, 100,000 Nama and Herero were killed. The survivors were herded in concentration camps where unspeakable things happened. The Herero fared very badly and 80% of her habitancy perished. The habitancy of the Nama diminished by 35-50%.

Windhoek, the capital of 165,000 habitancy is the only true city in the country. For those traveling to more remote regions, this is where you decide practical matters. The inevitable aspects of the German period can be seen in the charming style of older structure in the city. Places of interest in the city comprise the State Museum, State Archives, and the Namibia Crafts Centre. The Dan Viljoen Game Park lies 24 Km west of Windhoek on the gentle hills of Khoma Hochland. In this resort you find ostriches, baboons, zebras and over 200 species of birds. The Waterburg Plateau Park, placed 230 km from Windhoek is favorite with weekenders. This full, mountain wilderness is home to cheetah, leopard, kudu, giraffe, and white rhino.

Etosha National Park is what brings wildlife lovers to Namibia. The park is comparable in size and diversity of species with the best in Africa. The unusual terrain of Etosha holds savanna grassland, dense brush and woodland. But it is the Etosha Pan, a depression that sometimes holds water and covers 5,000 sq km, that is the heart of park. The perennial springs nearby the pan, attract many birds and land animals in the dry winter months. The consequent of this background is magical and some of the best wildlife photographs have been taken here.

There are 144 mammal species in the park and elephants are particularly abundant. Some other enchanting wildlife here includes giraffe, leopard, cheetah, jackal, blue wildebeest, gemsbok and black rhino. The birding is great at Etosha and over 300 bird species have been recorded. You will get best value by spending at least three days here. There are excellent room facilities at the three rest camps of Namutoni, Halali and Okaukuejo. The best time to see animals is in the middle of May and September, when water draws them in huge numbers to the edge of the pan. Etosha is 400 km to the north of Windhoek by road.

The Fish River Canyon is unrivalled in Africa and only the Grand Canyon in the U.S in larger. The Canyon runs for 160 km and reaches a width of 27 km and depth of 550 m. But size alone does not explain the request for retrial of the canyon. You palpate staggering views at assorted points along the rim. Adventure lovers do not merely come for the views. Hiking straight through the canyon is the extreme endurance adventure for hikers. There is an established 90 km hiking trail that will take you 4-5 days to cover.

The trail ends at Ai-Ais hot spring resort where you can unwind. You are allowed to hike in the middle of early May and end of September. The hike is quite strenuous and needless to say, you must be physically fit. The authorities disbelieve the capacity of most habitancy to undertake the hike and will de facto insist on seeing a medical certificate of fitness before allowing you to start off. Fish River Canyon is 580 km to the south of Windhoek.

The Skeleton Coast has been the graveyard of seafarers and whales and deserves that morbid name. The problem is the dense fogs. And woe to the ship wreck survivor who expects respite onshore! Ahead is the Namib Desert, one of the driest and most unwelcoming places. Adventure travelers love trekking along the coastline as they enjoy the stark attractiveness of the area. To the south at Cape Cross, you find a seal colony carrying tens of thousands of seals. The Skeleton Coast Park covers 16,400 sq km and begins at 355 km northwest of Windhoek.

The Portuguese explorer Diego Cao reached this part of the world in the year 1486. He is probably one of the habitancy whose experiences discouraged Europeans from venturing ashore until the arrival of the Germans 400 years later. Supplementary south is the Namib-Naukluft National Park, a vast wilderness face 50,000 sq km. The landscape is very diverse and covers mountain outcrops, majestic sand dunes, and deep cut gorges. For de facto spectacular dunes, the Sossusvlei area is unsurpassed. Here you have dunes rising to 300 m! The orange tint giants increase as far as the horizon and the area has an unreal, unforgettable atmosphere.

To the northeast of the country, the well-watered Kavango and Caprivi Strip region offers an unspoilt wilderness suitable for rugged game viewing and camping. The area also promises a feast for bird lovers. Game reserves in the area include: Kaudom, Caprivi, Mahango, Mudumu and Mamili. Poachers did great damage to wildlife during the years of the civil war in neighbouring Angola. Animal numbers are any way construction up rapidly. Some of the wildlife in the region includes leopard, elephant, buffalo, cheetah, lion and assorted antelope species. The Caprivi maintain falls in an area of swamps and flood plains. Here you have an chance to partake fishing, hiking, game viewing safaris and river trips in primary mokoro boats.

In Namibia you can enjoy up to 300 days of sunshine. The coast is temperate and thermometers run in the middle of 5C-25C. Inland, daytime temperatures range from 20C-34C, but can rise to 40C in the north and south of the country. Winter nights can be quite cold and frost occurs over large parts of the country. The rains inland fall in summer (November-April) and are heaviest in the Caprivi region. Rains do not much affect travel, but beware of flash floods in the vicinity of riverbeds. The best time to voyage is over the dry months of March to October, when it is easier to see animals at waterholes. It is best to avoid the Namib Desert and Etosha in the middle of December and March when it can get unbearably hot.

You can get by wearing light cottons and linens in summer. Over winter nights and mornings, you need heavier cottons, warmer wraps and sweaters. Comfortable walking shoes are essential, as the ground gets very hot. Some beneficial stuff to pack includes: camera, binoculars, sunglasses, sun hats, sunscreen and mosquito repellant. Be ready for dusty conditions and carry your clothing, tool and supplies in dust proof bags. Do not be tempted to buy items made of ivory. You may not be allowed to carry them straight through customs at home. And it also good that you do not encourage the trade in ivory products that keeps poachers busy.

Your Life Is on the Line: How to choose a Solid firm for Your greatest Sports Adventure

When it comes to buying laundry detergent, office supplies, or gasoline deal hunters ordinarily come out smiling. However, when you want to dip your feet into the world of extreme sports, saving a few bucks could cost you big in the end. If you're looking to Scuba dive, climb, paraglide, and skydive you've probably already come to the comprehension that you are embarking on a more elite, exclusive experience than handball or Frisbee; so instead of looking for a bargain, look for the best. After all, your life will unmistakably be in the hands of the operators and the gear they put you on. Here are three tips to help you find the performance that is right for you:

1. Make sure that all of your instructors are currently licensed and are using by the book procedures. In paragliding and hang-gliding every teacher is required to be licensed by the United States Hang-gliding and Paragliding association (Ushpa) domestically and other governing bodies internationally. If you are going on a tandem flight your teacher should hand you a 30 day Ushpa membership form with a tear-off card you must carry in your pocket during the flight. After the tandem is over your teacher is required to mail the remainder of the form in to Ushpa. If you are not presented with this paperwork take it as a clear sign that your teacher does not have a current tandem rating. All bets are off.

2. Check to see if the tool used is current and in good condition. Often the deal buster operations will save money by pushing more mileage out of climbing ropes, chutes, wings, and other safety gear. Before you sign up ask when your gear was purchased. When you arrive give it a once over for distinct wear and tear. If you have any doubt than there is no doubt. Pull out of the deal.

3. Ask about your instructor's involvement with the sport. an additional one way discount adventure operations cut cost is straight through second incomes. quality equipment, upkeep, and other overhead are ordinarily fairly high in the adventure sport market. So if the performance is cutting the cheapest deals in town, and if they can still afford trustworthy gear, they are probably making the bulk of their wage with a 9-5 job on the weekdays and moonlighting in the sport on weekends. Clearly most population nowadays have more than one iron in the fire; however, weekend only involvement is barely sufficient to keep your skills on level no matter what your passion. You wouldn't want a weekend warrior flying your 747 to Hawaii. Ask for an teacher who is practicing three or more days a week. The more he/she lives and breathes the sport, the better. Also run a web crusade on your instructor's full name and see what pops up. Don't be shy about asking the outfit about any bad press. It is your right to know.

Good for you that you've come to a point in your life where you have both the means and the desire to seek after unique adventurous experiences. You've obviously paved some success in life to get to this point. You unmistakably understand by now that you get what you pay for, so pay for a quality school or outfitter when you get into an adventure/extreme sport. Have yourself a thrill, but not the kind you have to represent from a hospital bed. Be safe and have a blast!

Psychological analysis of Violin pupil Personality Traits 101

In the titanic field of psychology, violin students' personality traits are understood to be the complex thinking dimensions of personality discovered straight through empirical research. Empirical study meaning, in the context of this article, my vast taste and wisdom as a violin instructor for the past 10+ years.

To additional advance the congruity of science and arts in the 21st century and sustain my readers to unravel the inviting mysteries surrounding the complex inner workings of the violin student's mind, I have compiled my overall investigation into the following twelve categories:

California Sky Diving

1. Deer in Headlights

2. Ping Pong Ball

3. Aggravating Antagonizer

4. Adolescent Trend Jockey

5. Chit Chatter

6. Know-It-All

7. Chronically Unpunctual

8. Procrasti-Master

9. Excuse-Generator

10. Neurotic Nelly

11. Black Hole

12. The Ideal Student

1. Deer in Headlights

Frequently manifested in pupils over the age of forty, these wide-eyed and petrified casualties of violin schooling are rarely seen by audiences or population who appreciate fine music. Mushrooms of novice music, these willy-nilly players resort to more desirable activities on recital night, such as an optional colonoscopy or tooth drilling, but on rare events may be coerced, er, motivated to participate with the allowable incentive: promises of an empty theatre and free finger food.

Once on stage and confronted with the reality of a sold-out live audience (far less preferable to Deer in Headlights to that of a dead audience) the Deer in Headlights defy the human “fight or flight” instinct and opt to freeze for the duration of their piece. Though they seem to be in a deranged trance, they are absolutely using their peripheral vision to uncover the nearest exit.

More bold and seasoned Deer in Headlights may muster up the courage to play a fragment of a scale or the start to “Twinkle Twinkle,” but commonly opt for scurrying off the stage like a squirrel with a weak bladder.

The blind audition, or one which is conducted with the player behind a screen or curtain, was absolutely concocted by a Deer in Headlights. He or she could play like the dickens but had an inordinate fear of spotlights, neat rows of seating and eyeballs.

Players in the middle of the ages of four and six may taste Deer in Headlights symptoms during their first couple violin lessons, in which time they will stare up with a frozen, gaping mouth and frightened raised eyebrows at the instructor. They do not acknowledge to light conversation or friendly questions and spend the entire half hour session frozen. They may go out on a limb and nod their head slightly when asked if they want a fastener at the end of class.

Sadly for the teacher, this phase quickly passes and many morph into Ping Pong Balls, leaving the instructor pining for the days when the child didn't speak.

2. Ping Pong Ball, aka the absolutely Distracted Hyperactive Hellion

The most concentrated amount of young violin students fall into the Ping Pong Ball classification. They are very easy to spot as they are the ones swinging from the ceiling lamp, followed by floor gymnastics while screaming nasty, made-up lyrics to Ode to Joy. The Ping Pong Balls find it inexorably difficult to pay concentration to the lesson, listen to their instructor or remain still for longer than 3.672 seconds (I've clocked them).

Depth is lost on the Ping Pong Ball and teachers working with them find themselves the object of much rejection. I have accomplished some of my finest technique lectures and riveting inspirational speeches only to be asked by a Ping Pong Ball, “Where did you get that cool pen? Can I have it?”

The Ping Pong Ball quickly switches topics to something about other child at her school who can lick her own elbows and then on to the field of what their dog coughed up the other day. She cannot think in a room with windows, inviting lights or shiny objects.

This is not to say the Ping Pong Ball is not an inviting individual. Quite the opposite, the Ping Pong Ball is a very smart child who is so enthusiastic about her violin part she cannot control her urge to act impulsively.

Violin teachers with pets, toys or any other objects of desire for children in their home will find dealing with these distractions to be a losing battle. Just let them play and enjoy the time off to surf the net or catch up on laundry. The child is having fun at their lesson, even if they haven't learned whatever violin-wise. Tune their violin, give them a star on their book and send them on their hyperactive way.

3. Aggravating Antagonizer

Music teachers serving time in prison incontestably taught one too many Aggravating Antagonizers in their careers. The Aggravating Antagonizer is absolutely the most difficult violin trainee to instruct as they are commonly under age and protected by special laws; laws which they conveniently use to their obstinate advantage.

Picture an adorable seven-year-old wee girl in pigtails. Add a pouting bottom lip, claws and a shrill scream and you've got the start of a victorious Aggravating Antagonizer. You say black, she says white. You ask her to play a scale in tenuto whole notes, she plays it staccato prestissimo! Aggravating Antagonizers are spite externalized, though absolutely they would disagree.

A few more words on Aggravating Antagonizers: adverse, clashing, conflicting, contradictory, headstrong, hostile, negative, obstinate, opposed, ornery, rebellious, stubborn and unruly.

4. Adolescent Trend Jockey

Ping Pong Balls and Aggravating Antagonizers do mellow and become more agreeable with age. As teens they enter a pupal stage in improvement as a Adolescent Trend Jockey. Like the Ping Pong Ball, the Adolescent Trend Jockeys (or as they would cleverly have it, the “T2J”) are still distracted from the lesson, but focus their Adolescent distraction instead on being cool and aloof.

Strangely there is a exact split in characteristics depending on the gender of the Adolescent Trend Jockey. Females exhibit this behavior by spending the entire part admiring their polished reflection in the mirror and messing with their hair. They obsess on mundane news items yet insist Britney Spears' new haircut is facts of life-altering quality.

Teenage Trend Jockey Males are plainly involved with occasionally pulling up their sagging pants and disengaging their digital watch alarms every two minutes to help pass the time. They also enjoy bragging about their cars and most recent gadgets. They do not yet understand the thought of deodorant.

All Adolescent Trend Jockeysfind enjoyment in checking their text messages on their cell phones and beginning up loud conversations with other students waiting in the hall covering the part room rather than listening to their teacher. They are not known to convention and have many tragic reasons why they didn't have the time to convention that week [see Excuse Generator.] However, they are good to keep around as they all give free computer and technology tech support.

5. Chitchatter

I, regretfully fall under this classification. Mixed with Chitchatter students, my long length phone bill rivals the national debt. To keep things succinct, the Chitchatter talks constantly and dedicates a fair chunk of part time to casual banter.

Some adult Chitchatters are just cleverly avoiding playing in front of the instructor or any other observers [see Deer in Headlights] and must be cut off mid-sentence and firmly ordered to play a G major scale.

Violin teachers must strive to program chit chatters before Chronically Unpunctual students and to never, under any circumstances program a Chitchatter before Neurotic Nelly for whom the weekly babbling and delay to lessons will absolutely cause a thinking breakdown in the latter.

More than one Chitchatter in a group part or ensemble means no actual practicing or rehearsing will be done, so you may as well just sit back and enjoy the conversation. Finally, Do Not program the Chitchatter at the end of your teaching day unless you like staying after work two hours extra each day and eating cold supper alone while your family sleeps.

6. Know-It-All

Not to be confused with mere Chitchatters who plainly enjoy talking during lessons and sharing a mundane narrative, or the Aggravating Antagonizer who is contrary to whatever the instructor says or does, the Know-It-All has the inexplicable quality to attend one part and become an instant specialist in the violin, its technique and theory.

Expect the Know-It-All to refute any facts you share as a instructor but to lack the capacity to prove their argument. Thus arguing with the Know-It-All is futile. Logic and imagine do not apply. Yet they continue to pay for lessons even though they are thoroughly convinced they know all there is to be known in violin.

Violin instructors tend to breed Know-It-All children who refute all their parent explains to them about music. This is the imagine why violin instructors pay to have person else teach their offspring violin.

Know-It-Alls are connoisseurs of self-arrogance and ego in its bottom forms but tragically claim to be humble and patient. Never compliment a Know-It-All; his head will swell up to three times its general size, which is already larger than 95% of the population, and you will be forced to rush him into the nearest hospital for an emergency ego-exctomy.

Despite their lack of popularity in musical circles, there is plentifulness of work for Know-It-Alls. With much convention and very wee thought they make superb orchestral conductors or music critics.

7. Chronically Unpunctual

Some Procrasti-Masters have devolved into a nasty wee side cluster: the Chronically Unpunctual. These population do own watches but apparently do not know how to read them. The laws of time and space do not exist in the mind of the Chronically Unpunctual. To them a weekly part slot is merely a recommend time for arrival.

Chronically Unpunctual students are in the part in spirit. The spirit of swearing while swerving down the highway at outrageous speeds. Strangely, they find their composure as they enter the part room and act as if there is nothing at all inappropriate in being 15 minutes late for a 30 wee lesson.

Chronically Unpunctual parents of young violin students raise resentful Excuse-Generator children who, with adequate missed lessons, may even build into Neurotic Nellies. The Chronically Unpunctual may become nervous wrecks over time, in which case they couple Excuse-Generator traits to their repertoire which season their weekly late arrivals. After all, every instructor loves a long, drawn-out story inviting traffic, bad roads, alien abductions and time distortion at the start of class.

8. Procrasti-Master

Procrasti-Masters leave all to the very last minute, and not just their weekly commutes to lessons. They have the best intentions of practicing their violins all week but seem to forget about it until the day of the lesson. Some can be seen practicing their music in the car en route to the lesson.

Interestingly, Procrasti-Masters' best work is done under pressure. To them it's a thrilling experience, like skydiving or robbing a bank. The adrenaline starts running as the instructor asks the Procrasti-Master to play the new piece he was assigned the week previous. Thus Procrasti-Masters are remarkable sight-readers and learn pieces far quicker and more efficiently than those silly population who absolutely practice.

Though it stresses out the instructor to the point of losing sleep and hair, the Procrasti-Master neglects his pieces until a week or so before the recital. An industrious three or four hours is all he needs to catch up. He smiles smugly knowing he wisely used a semester's worth of convention time playing video games. Thus Procrasti-Masters make excellent understudies for times when the soloist cannot play the concert.

Likewise, Procrasti-Masters consistently earn high marks in festivals, contests and exams. This is a point of contention and jealousy among other students, such as Neurotic Nellies, who have been working on their pieces in all twelve keys for five hours a day the past nine months.

9. Excuse-Generator

One cannot discuss violin students without mention of the Excuse-Generator. The start of every Excuse-Generator's part is dominated by the imagine they were late, why they didn't convention the old week, the drawn out story of how their music book went missing and how dropping their violin in no way was the cause for the large, mysterious new crack and broken strings.

Everything in the Excuse-Generator's life is external. They are hapless victims of rare circumstance, government conspiracy and complex problems to which they have no control or solution. Because of this Excuse-Generators are rarely top-notch violinists. It's clearly not their fault! This is because many cannot read music and have many reasons why it is far easier to just play by ear or fake it.

Excuse-Generators also tend to attract violin strings which break themselves and bows that tighten all on their own. Paranormal activity is also common. A trainee of mine recently blamed a ghost for his bow suddenly losing taste and sliding off the string. He insisted it had nothing to do with his technique and asked that I have my home inspected and exorcised by a priest.

In college I had an Excuse-Generator violin instructor who, after playing a sour note, would quickly re-tune her violin. The darn fiddle just seemed to go out of tune every time she made a mistake. It was eerie...

10. Neurotic Nelly

This Type-A personality personifies itself in violin students as the Neurotic Nelly, aka Irritating Pain in the Ass. You will see the Neurotic Nelly in a wild frenzy to get to their part twenty minutes early. Being late is as plainly not an choice for the Neurotic Nelly.

Neurotic Nellies make a consistent and painstaking endeavor to be as anal retentive as possible, thus documenting all their instructor says and seem to have a great comprehension of their teacher's pedagogy than the instructor has. Don't bother arguing either or not he paid for classes or didn't miss a lesson; he has forms in triplicate and video footage proving the contrary.

Their music is arranged in alphabetical order and is oftentimes colour-coded. Extreme perfectionists, Neurotic Nellies plainly cannot accept compliments as their playing can never be good enough. The plus side is that they always pay for lessons on time and never leave their music at home.

Neurotic Nellies' nervousness makes them unsuitable for colder climates as they are physically unable to trip during inclement weather. A particular hovering snowflake has them pressing speed dial to cancel the afternoon's lesson, much to the teachers' dismay as the Neurotic Nellies always ask a free make-up-lesson.

It is widely debated among violin teachers and researchers either or not a Neurotic Nelly and Black Hole sharing the same desk in an orchestra would plainly cancel each other out into oblivion or prove to be a winning, symbiotic relationship. In the meantime, the two are kept in literal, isolation from each other for the condition of the entire orchestra.

11. Black Hole

Also known as Chaos Incarnate, these muddle-minded individuals coax disorder into their lives as an exposed pair of buttocks in the Amazon basin attracts mosquitoes. Black Holes embrace entropy. Entropy, however, confidentially longs for a less tumultuous connection and is considering a vocation change.

Some Black Hole's daily routines of pandemonium are garnished with the added burden of a violin part every seven days. It's just too quarterly a program to bind to and Black Holes miss more than half their lessons due to poor planning or forgetfulness.

Suitable mates of Procrast-Masters and the Chronically Unpunctual, Black Holes also leave all to the last minute. More inviting to watch however, Black Holes have added the frantic search for coffee-stained sheet music and car keys amidst a disarray of papers and fast food containers only scant minutes before their part time. In their muddled, confused hunt they inevitably forget to pack the violin.

One Black Hole I instructed years back became oddly resourceful and folded and wedged her sheet music into the toe of her shoes for “safe-keeping.” The result: a wrinkled copy of Sonata in G with ink running from her preteen perspiration. I even purchased her a binder which was later lost or eaten by her dog, I can't quite remember which.

12. The Ideal Student: Theoretical classification yet to be discovered

The Ideal trainee is a uncomplicated beast who listens intently, does all as instructed to and practices a joyful 5 hours each day. He pays in advance, compliments my appearance and his violin never goes out of tune. She oftentimes has me over to visit at her Tuncan villa and is compelled to bring Swiss chocolates to lessons.

Now accepting bookings from students who fit this description: examine within. And bring chocolates.
